Simeon’s Prayer
Art Medium: Oil on Mexican Bark Paper
Art Dimensions: 23 x 16
Art Price: SOLD
A warm light surrounds the four figures, who are The Holy Family of Jesus with Mary, His Mother, Joseph, His foster father and the prophet Simeon. The latter is described in the gospel of Luke as a man, righteous and devout awaiting the coming of the Messiah before Simeon’s death. He came into the temple when the parents brought in the Child, Jesus. Simeon stands on the left with hands joined in a prayerful gesture as he recognizes the Saviour, the Light of the world in the form of a tiny babe. Simeon blesses God as he prays: “Now Master, you may let your servant go in peace. My eyes have seen your Light. You have revealed salvation for all your people.” Luke 2: 29 – 32
The Mustard Seed
Art Medium: Acrylic paint
Art Dimensions: 22”x 28”
Art Price: $700
My inspiration for this piece is from a verse said by Jesus: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Even though the seed is small, when it grows, it becomes a large tree. That’s when the sun rises, when your life is changed. Sin has blinded us and the only way we can see the light, is faith in Jesus, and then, nothing will be impossible for us.
Who I Am Inside
Art Medium: Digital Photography
Art Dimensions: 16×24
Art Price: $150
“You are the light of the world…” -Matthew 5:14 We are called to be a reflection of the image of Jesus Christ, a reflection of the Light. Just like this picture we are each called to be a reflection of that in different places, because each of us is unique. The one common bond that each of us share is what we reflect, the light of Jesus Christ. That should be our main focus in whatever we do to reflect the source of light in our lives, just as the source of light is the main focus here. We must never lose sight that God came to live inside each of us as Christians, so that our reflections might show who we are inside, or better yet who is inside.
The Path
Art Medium: Photography and calligraphy
Art Dimensions: 12″ X 16″
Art Price: $350
The theme of light runs through the entire Bible, from Genesis 1 to Revelations. It is comforting to know that Jesus, the Word, the Light, the truth and the way, is going ahead of me on my own journey in life.
This photo is from a small chapel in southern England. The beauty of the light streaming through the stained glass is a powerful visual metaphor, illustrating the concept “Jesus the Light.”
See More Clearly
Art Medium: Fiber Arts
Art Dimensions: 22.5 x 31
Art Price: SOLD
This piece was inspired by the stained glass in the chapel. Because of His work on the cross, Jesus brought light to this sin-darkened world. I can see more clearly now, particularly as I keep my eyes on Him instead of the world. The fabrics used in this piece are commercially available and primarily batiks. I drafted the pattern from a picture.
Luminous
Art Medium: Mix Media
Art Dimensions: 36 x 482D
Art Price: $350
In this piece I wanted to show 3 types of people;people who live in sin and in darkness. People who have lived in sin and have turned to The Light, Jesus, and want to change; and lastly the people who live in The Light and walk the right path with Jesus. The crow represents our sin and our influence while the dove represents purity. The red ribbon that connects them represents Jesus’ blood because without Him we could not obtain purity. His blood washed our hands. I hope this piece will inspire and move many as the vision moved me.
Found
Art Medium: Watercolor
Art Dimensions: 11 x 15

While meditating on the theme of this year’s art festival, I was thinking about that moment when you have found the thing you have been searching for all your life only then discovering that it was nearer than you could have ever imagined.
Shifting Shadow
Art Medium: Photography
Art Dimensions: 25X20
Art Price: $200
I think that all around us the world is changing and in that God never changes. James 1:17 says that God “does not change like shifting shadows.” So even though we are moving so fast and all we see is shadows, we are moving through to the marvelous light of God’s might and holiness.
Jesus, The Light
Art Medium: Stone Carving/Sculpture
Art Dimensions: 20″ x 9″ x 3″
Art Price: $2150
For centuries, the “Fish” symbol has been used to identify those of the Christian Faith or Followers of Christ. My concept has taken this symbol and displayed it vertical rather than horizontal as seen on many vehicles and other media. I have replace the cross with an actual light to represent the Light of Christ. The sculpture is carved from alabaster marble and soapston.
Arise
Art Medium: Photography on canvas
Art Dimensions: 12×24
Art Price: $600
A darkened, dirty stable. The blackness of night, overwhelming. Faintly, cries of new life mingle with bellowing cattle. He is here. Eternity holds its breath. Divinity swaddles. Yet, more is to be. Twinklings of light glimmer. Lashes slowly loosen. Flashes of brightness dance in the forlorn. Eyes widen. Glory paints the makeshift palace. The Promise of hope enters. The Light Everlasting is here.
Arise.
The King Is Coming: Quiet Reflection
Art Medium: oil on canvas
Art Dimensions: 16×16
Art Price: SOLD
I can only imagine how Mary must have felt as she carried our savior awaiting His birth. The King, the Light of the world, the Prince of Peace living and growing inside her. I’m sure she had some wonderful moments and conversations with the Father when she could steal some moments alone.
Sweet, Holy Night
Art Medium: oil on canvas
Art Dimensions: 16×20
Art Price: $795
When I think of the Star of Bethlehem and how it illuminated the Holy night when Jesus was born, I imagine it in full spectrum shining gloriously in vivid color… a perfect light show for the angels in concert!
Light From the Word
Art Medium: acrylic, pencil, ink
Art Dimensions: 22″x22″
Art Price: $40
“Jesus the Light” is shown in my work through contrast and written words. Scripture is filled with references to light and darkness. My work includes several of those passages and also uses a white and black background. The white cross represents Jesus and extends up into the area of white that represents God since they are one, along with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is shown by a very subtle shimmer/shine in the white areas. The black or dark areas represent the sinful world. The small red area represents the blood shed by Jesus to take away our sins. That is the only entrance into the light or white areas. Finally, the Scriptures speak for themselves.
